The following is a list of typical questions asked by our clients. Hopefully this will be helpful to you, however BakTracks will ALWAYS try to meet your specific needs, please contact us!

Q: What type of music does BakTracks play?
A: Pop, Rock and party classics. We play songs which are popular and well known and try to incorporate a wide variety into our sets, together with a bit of fun.

Q: What type of event do BakTracks specialise in?
A: BakTracks are experienced with functions/events of all types and have equipment suitable for most venues.

Q: Which geographical areas do BakTracks cover?
A: Usually East Midlands including South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire. Most midlands areas will be considered but of course the travelling costs will be factored into the fee.

Q: How much do you charge?
A: BakTracks charge fair, realistic and competitive fees which are tailored to suit the occasion. As many factors are taken into account a standard price is not feasible. Please contact us for a competitive quote.

Q: How do I make an enquiry regarding a booking?
A: Please see our Contacts page.

Q: Will you learn any particular songs for me?
A: Yes, we will do our best to but depends upon song style and amount of notice given. As much notice as possible is appreciated.

Q: Can you provide a Disco?
A: Yes, please contact us for details and price.

Q: What is your dress code?
A: Smart/casual, appropriate to, and in keeping with the function.

Q: How long do you need to set up/pack down?
A: Normally, about 1 hour and 30 minutes set up, approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour pack down. Depends upon the nature of the venue.

Q: How much space do you require?
A: Generally a live band requires approximately 5m by 4m for the band with a separate table part way down one side of the room for the mixing desk. However compromises can be made to fit into tighter spaces. More room is required if a larger PA system is necessary. Once again, please contact us to discuss.

Q: What are your power requirements?
A: At least two 13A sockets within the stage/set up area for the smallest P.A. system. More sockets are required for larger venues where a large PA /lighting system is required. If in doubt, please contact us to discuss as BakTracks cannot be held responsible if the performance is compromised due to adequate power not being available.

Q: Can you work with a separate Disco?
A: Yes of course, but always ensure both parties are aware of this in advance and sufficient floor space/power is made available.

Q: Do we need to provide any extra facilities?
A: Yes please, an adequate secure room for leaving personal belongings and clothes changes is highly desirable. However, it is recognized that this is sometimes difficult in which case compromises will be made.

Q: What will the volume levels be like?
A: To suit the size of venue, although BakTracks will always adjust volume levels at the clients'; request.

Q: How long do you normally play for?
A: Typically, a total of 1 ½ to 2 hours, usually split into sets of 30 or 45 minutes although BakTracks will always try to meet your special requirements if possible. Longer playing times are possible but must be agreed at the quotation stage as the fee is adjusted accordingly.

Q: Can you provide background music in between your sets?
A: Yes, normally via CD and this is included in the fee. Please contact us to advise that this is required and to discuss the appropriate style of music for your event. A Disco can be provided at extra cost.

Q: Is your equipment PAT tested?
A: Yes.

Q: Do you have public liability insurance?
A: Yes, with a £5M indemnity.

Q: How many people does BakTracks consist of?
A: 5 in the band plus 1 or 2 sound/lighting engineers depending on event.
